Since several months ago, having a fun family outing is something that we have been longing for, especially the kids. We’ve been pretty drowned with work, school and other stuff lately, and therefore I think a short fun break won’t harm anyone.

FLEXTAIL EVO ICER: First Impressions
Surprisingly, I am able to find quite a lot of reviews and articles about the FLEXTAIL EVO ICER. It’s pretty awesome since the product is not yet available in the market at least until July.
From the appearance point of view, based on the pictures and videos on the web, I think it looks like a hi-tech mini freezer that we can carry anywhere. It also features a handle on top, which will be very helpful for us to move it around.
It has a weight of around 20 lbs with a measurement of 12.6 x 12.6 x 11 inches.
Inside the box, you will find 1 unit of the EVO ICER, 1 Ice Scoop, and 1 Type-C Charging Cable. It offers one color option only, which is black and white, and it has operating buttons on the front and charging port on the back.
To be honest, I love the sleek design and the fact that it’s very compact to carry around. I think carrying the FLEXTAIL EVO ICER will feel like carrying your boombox, but instead of having some music you will have some ice cubes instead, which is great!

Another thing that I also love about this portable battery-powered ice maker is that it comes with a rechargeable battery, which means that it is free from cables when in use. It also offers charging options by using a USB-C cable or AC adapter, which is pretty convenient for me.
With approximately 4-5 hours of charging time to be fully charged, this compact ice machine offers 3 hours of use cordless. It can produce 12 ice cubes in 5 minutes, and you can make 400+ ice cubes before it runs out of battery and needs to be recharged.
And guess what? You can also use it to charge your phones or even your portable speakers, too!
Ease of Use and Portability Battery-Powered Ice Maker
Now that I have discovered this cool device, I think I have found the best outdoor events ice maker as well as the best picnic tool for summer. I just can’t wait to have it delivered to me and experience the easy way of making ice cubes myself.

As I probably mentioned several times already, the FLEXTAIL EVO ICER is very easy to use. You just have to turn the power on, pour in water through the small slot on the top side, and then you can start making ice cubes by choosing one out of three ice making modes, which are the Cup Mode, Quick Mode, and Eco Mode.
All modes are designed for different occasions based on what you need at the time.
Unlike other ice makers, this one features a clear display so we can see when the ice cubes are ready. On the bottom left side, there is also a water shortage indicator to let you know when you need to add more water into the machine.
According to what I saw in the review videos, the settings are pretty easy as well, and you can simply operate it by pressing the buttons on the front side.
2. Portability and Ability of FLEXTAIL EVO ICER
In terms of size, it may not be out of the ordinary, because other portable ice makers come with similar sizes as this one. But as I mentioned earlier, this one has a plus point which is the handle.
From camping, beach parties to a fun picnic in the park, you can definitely count on this device for all of your ice making jobs.
Carrying it around will be very convenient.
However, do make sure you carry the drinks with you. Whether it’s a beer, juice, cocktails, or any kind of drink you like, because you will need lots of ice cubes especially during the hot summer days.

The machine produces ice cubes in 1 size only, and as far as I can see, the size is just perfect. It’s not too small nor big, making it perfect for any size of drinking glass. So, all in all I am quite happy with the size of the ice cube.
However, it does have the option for you to choose the ice making mode. There are modes for you to get fewer cubes if I’m not mistaken. But in terms of shape and size, it’s not customizable, which I personally think it’s not necessary anyway.

The Evo Icer’s battery has the ability to last for 3 hours before you need to recharge it. Within those 3 hours, it was claimed to be able to make 400+ ice cubes, which I think is more than enough for a fun day at the beach. No electricity is needed as long as your battery is charged.
It features two charging options which are the USB-C and AC Adapter, giving you more choices based on your preference and convenience.
The built-in 200wh Lithium battery is placed on the bottom of the machine. It can last up to 3 hours of battery life, and you will have the freedom to use it anywhere you like, including to the beach, camping trips, outdoor parties, sporting courts, or inside your car or RV.

For my next trip with the kids, we will possibly have a picnic at the beach and spend our time having a road trip, which will let us spend long hours on the road, inside the car. So, this machine will become a super battery-powered ice maker for travel, as long as we bring a sufficient amount of water bottles.
One thing to remember though, it would be necessary to make sure we charge it whenever we have the chance.

The Reasons
After watching some reviews, however, I was thinking of using it for extreme outdoor activities, which include fishing in a lake on a boat. Since it’s not actually heavy, I would love to try to take it along with me while fishing.
I can imagine how fresh it would be to be able to enjoy some cold beer while spending my time in the middle of the lake.
Actually, I am thinking of using it for many other events and occasions, too! It would be super useful when I am having a birthday party for my kids, too. With this machine, I will no longer need to have some ice cubes using the bulky and heavy ice box anymore.
Aside from being bulky, the ice cubes inside the box are melty pretty quick under the sun, too. So, I believe that this FLEXTAIL EVO ICER battery-powered ice maker is the solution for me. I can now serve lemonade to the guests in peace, literally.
